Dr. Bill Rabel is dedicated to the program in Insurance & Financial Services, Risk Management, and Actuarial Science (IRMAS) and its students. His areas of expertise include insurance and risk management, and strategic planning for non-profit organizations.
Prior to joining the faculty at UA, he was Senior Vice President, Education at LOMA (Life Office Management Association). Under his leadership, LOMA’s FLMI program became the world’s largest university-level professional education program in financial services. He was also responsible for LOMA’s other education programs and for the LOMA professional movement, which was comprised of more than 40,000 individuals and more than 40 local societies around the globe.
Among Dr. Rabel’s many academic appointments, he served as Economics Affairs Officer for the United Nations Conference on Trade & Development, where his study, Insurance Education for Developing Countries, provided a blueprint for professional educational institutes around the world.
Dr. Rabel is the author of numerous publications on business and economic security and a frequent speaker before groups of executives, professionals, academicians and government officials.
