Dr. Aguiar is an assistant professor of exercise science who researches physical activity and its implications in the prevention and management of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. He has recently focused research on step-based measurements of physical activity and the use of wearable technologies, including fitbit, Apple Watch and Garmin, to monitor physical activity.
