Chandra Clark

Assistant Professor

Dr. Chandra Clark is an assistant professor in the department of journalism and creative media. She has produced a series of award winning videos relating to how broadcast television and radio played a role in the deadly April and May 2011 tornadoes in Tuscaloosa and Joplin, Missouri, plus Hurricane Sandy’s devastation along the East Coast. She’s currently working on two new projects related to Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.

Dr. Clark believes in learning in action and enjoys working with nonprofits, companies, city, and community leaders in Central Alabama to have a reputable multimedia presence. She and her students have helped more than 40 clients learn to take control of their message and use traditional and social media to help brand themselves better to the community. Clark was a top 3 finalist in a national innovation contest and she is currently working on development of an invention that could help broadcasters increase the reach of their content to consumers in a new way.
