Alfred Brophy is the D. Paul Jones Chairholder in Law and a professor in UA’s Law School. His research focuses on property, trusts and estates, as well as race in colonial, antebellum and early twentieth century America. Professor Brophy can discuss these topics as well as slavery, the civil rights movement and the Civil War’s effect on African American rights.
