Meeting the needs of UA’s mobile-savvy campus community, the University’s Action Card Office has made the ACT Card mobile credential available for Google Pay.
Building on the initial 2019 launch of the iOS mobile credential, students, faculty and staff can now use their Android mobile phones to easily access facilities and make contactless payments on and around campus.
“We at the Action Card Office are very excited to offer the convenience of the mobile ACT Card credential for Google Pay users,” said Jeanine Brooks, director of the Action Card Office. “This will help move UA toward our goal of becoming a mobile-first campus.”
The ACT Card in Google Pay can be used at all locations that the physical ACT Card is used except for on-campus vending, which will be coming soon. These locations include door access, dining services, purchases with Bama Cash and Dining Dollars, NCAA athletic events, libraries, the Supe Store, residence hall laundry, Student Health Center, campus entertainment events and much more.
