Staying on Campus for Fall Break? Here’s What to Know.

Classes will be dismissed for fall break Oct. 31-Nov 1. UA offices will be open, but some areas on campus have adjusted operating hours for fall break and the weekend of Nov. 2-3.

Bama Dining 

For Bama Dining locations’ hours of operation, go to Bama Dining, select Hours and Menus.

Capstone Center for Student Success

  • Oct. 30-Nov. 1, open 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., but no tutoring on those days.
  • Visit the second and third floors of Russell Hall for study hall hours.

Collegiate Recovery and Intervention Services

Hours will continue as normal during the break.

Counseling Center 

Hours will continue as normal during the break.

Crimson Ride 

UA shuttle bus

Oct. 31-Nov. 1, Crimson Ride will provide regular service from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with reduced coverage. All campus routes (Blue, Bronze, Crimson, Crimson Express, Gold 1, Gold 2, Green, Silver 1 and Silver 2) will run with a single bus; none of the rocket routes will run.

Apartment shuttles will have buses on standby; students should contact 205-348-7433 for a bus to get them and bring them to the Hub.

Oct. 31-Nov. 1, 348-RIDE will provide regular service from 9 p.m.-7 a.m., and all day Saturday and Sunday.

  • The Paul R. Jones Museum will be closed during fall break.
  • The Alabama Museum of Natural History, Gorgas House, Moundville Archaeological Park, and Warner Transportation Museum will operate on regular schedules.

Parking

  • All safety rules and regulations apply as normal during fall break.
  • Students should not park in faculty/staff or reserve surface lots.
  • Commuters may park in any commuter zone during fall break.
  • Residential may park in any non-gated residential zone during fall break.
