UA Opens Search for New Vice President for Student Life

The University of Alabama has launched its search for a new vice president for Student Life.

A search committee including representatives from the University’s faculty, administration, student body and alumni will oversee a national search with the goal of having a candidate in place by early 2020.

The vice president for Student Life serves as the senior Student Life administrator. The position works closely with students, faculty and staff to maintain and enhance a climate that fosters student learning and development while further developing a strong sense of community for UA students.

Members of the search committee include Harrison Adams, president, Student Government Association; Linda Bonnin, vice president, Strategic Communications; Kathleen Cramer, interim vice president for Student Life; Tiffini Grimes, executive associate athletics director and chief diversity officer, Intercollegiate Athletics; Brock Jones, alumni representative; Courtney King, student; Cynthia Moore, assistant director, Rural Scholars Program; Cheryl Mowdy, assistant vice president, Finance and Operations; Chad Tindol, chief administrative officer and committee chair; Bradley Tuggle, associate professor, Honors College; and Stuart Usdan, dean, College of Human Environmental Sciences. The committee will be staffed by LeNá Powe McDonald, project coordinator, Office of the President. Robin Jones will serve as counsel to the committee.
