Trump Is Leaving Congress No Choice But to Impeach
Time Magazine – Sept. 24
Vance is distinguished professor of the practice of law at the University of Alabama, a former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama and an NBC News and MSNBC legal analyst. You don’t have to be a former prosecutor to understand what’s going on. Whistleblower laws are designed to protect against fraud and abuse in government. They make it possible for government employees to step forward without fear of retaliation. It’s unprecedented for a whistleblower complaint to involve conduct directly attributable to the President of the United States, yet President Trump seems to have confirmed that he is the subject of a whistleblower complaint, brought by someone in the intelligence community and hijacked from what would normally have been a routine path of transferring it to Congress once the inspector general for the intelligence community deemed it credible and urgent.

African-American college loan debt at an all-time high
Defender – Sept. 24
Black college students are borrowing, owing, and defaulting on educational loans more often than any other racial group. Reports say that it is currently at an all time high.  The racial gap in student debt is the result of wealth inequality, and not much funding provided at colleges and universities that enroll the largest number of Black students, according to The Washington Post. An alternative view was expressed by assistant professor at the University of Alabama, Krystal L. Williams, believes colleges and universities need more scholarship opportunities for students.

Referring to Bulger and Jeffrey Epstein, the financier and sex offender who officials have said hanged himself in a Manhattan cell last month, Mujumdar said, “If murders and suicides can occur like this in prison, then what that says is that no one is safe in prison.”
