On the first Wednesday of each month (unless inclement weather is expected), the University tests its emergency notification systems, including UA alerts, the public address system and digital signage. In addition to notification tests, the University provides monthly safety tips and information to help the UA community be prepared in different types of emergency situations.
This month you are reminded to download or update the UA Safety App on your mobile device.
The updated UA Safety App has new features including:
- a new look and feel with reorganized content makes it easier to find exactly what you need
- weather alerts including a map showing affected areas for Tuscaloosa County
- 7-day weather forecast for campus
- added ability to manage alerts you want to receive
- an explore section that makes it easier to find buildings and the safety features within each building
- an option to livestream 92.5 FM UA Info Radio
