Data Shows Progress in Meeting Strategic Goals

In almost every area associated with The University of Alabama’s four strategic goals, the University has continued to make progress.

“We are proud of the progress that the University has made toward achieving its strategic goals but there’s still more work to be done,” said Dr. Kevin Whitaker, executive vice president and provost.

“We must remain steadfast in our dedication to accomplish all we have set out to achieve, continuing to make the University the best it can possibly be.”

The five-year strategic plan was unveiled in August 2016 to address two key questions:
Where are we and where are we going?

The plan includes four strategic goals now identified as the pillars of the University’s strategic plan. The goals address providing outstanding education with a global perspective, increasing research productivity, strengthening diversity and inclusivity, and enhancing work-life balance. Each goal includes a number of objectives to guide progress across the entire campus.
