UA looking to help with math teacher turnover in Tuscaloosa

Right now, the University of Alabama (UA) is looking to recruit math teachers in the Tuscaloosa area to participate in a new grant project. The National Science Foundation awarded the University of Alabama a $2.85 million grant for their master teacher fellowship program this summer. The goal is to boost math education in the Tuscaloosa area. And that starts with the teachers and improving their teaching skills when it comes to math.

Environmental Film Festival

If you like short films and the environment, you’ll want to check out this cool event. It’s happening this Friday, March 29th at the Alabama Center for the Arts in Decatur. Five short films about wildlife diseases and technology will be presented by students of the University of Alabamas Honors College film and environment class. An open discussion with the students and project organization wild south will follow after the films. The free event starts at 6 p.m.
