What to do about lost and found ACT Cards and other property on campus

ACT Card

If you find an ACT Card, you can return it to the ACT Card office located in the Campus Parking Deck/Bus Hub at 451 Campus Drive E. There is also a 24/7 drop box located right outside the ACT Card office doors. This drop box is available any time the Bus Hub is open. ACT Card staff will attempt to locate the card’s owner.

If you have lost your ACT Card, contact the ACT Card staff at 205-348-2288 (or UAPD at 205-348-5454 if after business hours). The card will be “frozen” so no one can pick it up and use it for any reason. If found, the card will need to be unfrozen by visiting the ACT Card Office; if lost permanently, a new physical card can be procured for a fee at the ACT Card Office or digital cards can be loaded into the Apple Wallet on iPhone and Apple Watch as long as the card has been reported as lost.

Even if your ACT Card is frozen, faculty, staff and students with an iPhone or Apple Watch can load their ACT Card in the Apple Wallet.

Other Items

The UA Police Department receives lost and found items for campus and provides a list of found items that can be claimed upon proper identification. Items can be turned in to UAPD headquarters at 1110 Jackson Ave.; or, call UAPD at 205-348-5454 and an officer will pick up the item within the confines of campus.

Athletic venues will typically turn over any found property to UAPD within 1-2 days after an event. The Ferguson Center information desks, library circulation desks, University Recreation Centers front desks and residence halls with 24-hour main desks will accept found items and forward to UAPD.
