UA Fleet Services will be relocating to the University Services Campus at 1450 Warrior Drive on Feb. 25.

Mario Globetti, associate director of UA Fleet Services, said they’ve been planning for years to move from their current location at 1227 14th St.
“One of the benefits of us moving is we’ll be closer to automotive services and maintenance,” Globetti said. “So when we need a car serviced we’ll be able to just drive it around the block instead of across campus.”
The fuel station at the UA Fleet Services current location will remain there, but a second fuel site will be added to the new location in a few months.
UA Fleet Services has a rental fleet of 55 vehicles and a lease fleet of 35 vehicles that include sedans, minivans, Dodge caravans, 12-passengers vans and SUVs with University logos on them. They are available for rental by any University department or student group with the approval of a faculty adviser for University-related business or trips.
“The majority of the rentals are by faculty, but on weekends we see a good bit of student groups such as UREC Club Sports and debate teams and graduate assistants doing research,” Globetti said.
“We average about 3,500 rentals a year. We have vehicles go all over the country.”
The daily fee for a sedan rental is $49, for a SUV/minivan it’s $59, and for a 12-passenger van is $79.
“In addition to rentals, we lease to on-campus departments and we provide unleaded fuel and diesel at a cheaper rate,” Globetti said.
