This work will take place during the same time as the University Boulevard road closure. Bryant Drive is the main detour route for the University Boulevard road closure. Congestion should be expected.
Lane closures have been planned on Bryant Drive just east of Hackberry Lane for utility work associated with the Aquatic Center Renovation project. The work will be in two phases.
Phase 1
Westbound lanes (the two northernmost lanes) and the center turn lane will be closed Dec. 17-18.
- Both east and westbound traffic will utilize both eastbound lanes (southernmost lanes).
- Westbound traffic will merge into a single lane through the center turn lane prior to the work area.
- Eastbound traffic will also merge into a single lane prior to the work area.
Phase 2
Eastbound lanes (two southernmost lanes) and the center turn lane will be closed Dec. 19-20.
- Both east and westbound traffic will utilize both westbound lanes (northernmost lanes).
- Eastbound traffic will merge into a single lane through the center turn lane prior to the work area.
- Westbound traffic will also merge into a single lane prior to the work area.
