Enjoy Museum Open Houses Dec. 9

Our museum open houses are a tradition at UA, and a big hit with families.

On Dec. 9, three of UA’s museums will offer seasonal decorations, refreshments, family-friendly exhibits and crafts, and free admission.

Start your open house visits at the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum on Jack Warner Parkway. The event runs from 2-4 p.m. Continue on to the Gorgas House Museum on campus between 3-5 p.m., and finish your afternoon at the Alabama Museum of Natural History Open House from 4-5:30 p.m.

Origami Artists Needed

The Alabama Museum of Natural History invites students, faculty and staff to help decorate the museum for the holidays with nature-themed origami.

Drop off your creations at the reception desk in Smith Hall. Decorations will be on display to enjoy at the Dec. 9 open house.
