Happy Hauntings from UA

The following family-friendly events are free and open to the Tuscaloosa community.

(Please note age limitations on individual events. Visitors are asked to refrain from bringing pets, other than service animals.)

Halloween Extravaganza

Monday, Oct. 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility
For families with children 13 years of age and under
Costumes are encouraged.

This event, sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, is a perennial favorite for the Tuscaloosa community. Bring your child for an evening of fun and games with UA’s student-athletes. While the Halloween Extravaganza is free, non-perishable food donations for Beat Auburn Beat Hunger are welcome.

Haunting at the Museum

Thursday, Oct. 25, 5:30-8 p.m. at Gorgas House and Smith Hall
For all ages

Join the Alabama Museum of Natural History and the Gorgas House Museum for the annual Haunting at the Museum. Come and discover the spooky side of UA with candlelit haunted tours, ghost stories, scary crafts and more. Be there if you dare!

Visit the ArBOOretum

Saturday, Oct. 27, 2-5 p.m. at the UA Arboretum
For all ages

This family-friendly exploration of Alabama’s rich biodiversity again includes the trick-or-treat candy trails.

 

Sorority Trick or Treat

Tuesday, Oct. 30, 6 p.m. until candy runs out or 8 p.m. on Sorority Row (Magnolia, Colonial and Judy Bonner drives)
For families with children 12 years old and under
Costumes are encouraged but no masks, please.

The Alabama Panhellenic Association hosts this annual event. To make the evening as safe and welcoming as possible, Sorority Row will be foot traffic only. Scooters and hoverboards are not permitted.
