Thank a Female Trailblazer through a Legacy Letter

Ever wanted to thank a UA legend for their courage, drive or action that opened doors for future generations at the University? Students will have the unique opportunity to pen notes to female trailblazers at Legacy Letters on the Quad on Sept. 19 from noon to 2 p.m.

“The event is designed to be a way to commemorate this milestone year at the Capstone as we honor women from throughout this time span through education and expressions of gratitude,” said Dr. Mary Lee Caldwell, chair of UA’s 125 Years of Women committee.

Students are encouraged to stop by Legacy Letters on the Quad, located in front of Gorgas Library, to write a note of gratitude and appreciation to women who have blazed a trail while at UA. The letters will be on display throughout the event.

Following the event on the Quad, letters will be on display at future 125 Years of Women events before being bound and given to University Special Collections.
