CHIME IN Survey Results Presentation Rescheduled for Oct. 8

All faculty and staff are encouraged to attend a town hall presentation of the summary results of the CHIME IN Workplace Experience survey on Monday, Oct. 8, at 12:30 p.m. in 118 Graves Hall.

Richard Boyer, senior consultant for ModernThink, the third-party vendor that coordinated the survey, will present the survey results to the campus community, highlighting strengths and opportunities identified from the data compiled. The presentation will be recorded and posted on the CHIME IN website for those who cannot attend in person.

“Last spring we asked all employees to CHIME IN and provide the important feedback to help guide our ongoing efforts to advance work-life balance for faculty and staff and support effective employee recruitment and retention,” said President Stuart R. Bell. “We are pleased with the level of participation, and we want to share the results with the campus community as part of our ongoing commitment to this important facet of our strategic plan.”

Approximately 47 percent of all faculty and staff participated in the confidential survey that ran from March 26 through April 13. The survey project is an important element to support the University’s strategic plan goal to “Provide opportunities and resources that facilitate work-life balance and enhance the recruitment and retention of outstanding faculty and staff.”

Survey results will provide guidance to University leadership for continued improvement to the campus workplace experience by providing the thoughts and opinions of UA employees.

At the town hall presentation, Boyer will summarize key findings and identify patterns and trends in UA data, comparing the findings with some of the University’s peer institutions.
