Camp 1831 is an extended orientation program offered by First Year Experience and Retention Initiatives that welcomes freshman and transfer students to UA with a purpose of helping them get comfortable on campus, develop friendships, learn about UA culture and have fun.
This year, FYERI invites faculty and staff to attend the Camp 1831 Faculty and Staff Lunch followed by the BAMAzing Scholar’s Summit on Aug. 9 and/or Aug. 14 from 11:45 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Attendees will dine with first-year students and share experiences from their own first year in college as well as tips that will help the students be more successful at UA. This meal and Scholar’s Summit is always a highlight for the campers.
