For the past few years, astronomers have been intensely studying gravitational waves. Gravitational waves have given astronomers a new model to see the universe with, yet a new discovery made in Antarctica may make the neutrino the new way of interpreting the universe … This helped the researchers determine that the single high-energy neutrino detected last year was indeed from the blazar, which has a number of important implications for astronomy, according to Marcos Santander, astrophysicist from the University of Alabama.

Birmingham Children’s Theatre hosts “The Three Musketeers”

The sounds of metal clashing against metal fill the air in the Birmingham Children’s Theatre’s (BCT) rendition of “The Three Musketeers.” This play, adapted from Ken Ludwig’s book, has a little bit of something for everyone, according to Ashley Woods, the managing director for BCT … Christian Hatcher, who is studying musical theater at the University of Alabama, plays D’Artagnan. Hatcher said he has been involved in the arts from a very young age, thanks to his mother. Hatcher got away from theater and the arts for a while, but is glad he returned.

Univ. of Alabama Students Can Use ID Card on Apple Watch

University of Alabama students will be able to use ID cards on the Apple Watches and iPhones this fall. The Tuscaloosa News reports an Apple statement said only have to raise their wrist to gain access to places including the library, dorms and events, pay for snacks, laundry and dinners around campus. The software was presented this week as students with an Apple Watch or iPhone can add their ID cards to the wallet.
