TSA Pre-Check Opportunity Coming to UA

TSA Pre-Check Opportunity Coming to UA

UA offers the opportunity for faculty and staff and their immediate family members to participate in the TSA Pre✓® Enrollment Event Aug. 6, 7 and 8 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. each day at the C.M. Newton Room in Coleman Coliseum.

TSA Pre✓® is the Transportation Security Administration’s expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and efficient screening experience. For TSA Pre✓® travelers, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. TSA’s security rule for flying with carry-on liquids is known as  the 3-1-1 liquids rule.

TSA Pre✓® has more than 450 lanes at 167 U.S. airports.

The TSA Pre✓® application program allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to directly apply for TSA Pre✓®. Once approved, travelers will receive a “Known Traveler Number” (which can be added to a traveler’s airline profile and reservations) and will have the opportunity to use TSA Pre✓® lanes at select security checkpoints when flying on the 13 carriers that currently participate in TSA Pre✓®: Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, OneJet, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin America and WestJet.
