Some big changes with the Action Card have taken place since the start of summer.
The Action Card office has introduced a new card design, near-field communication, or NFC, technology, and enhanced security on your student ID.
So, what does all that mean? By adding NFC technology, you will now be able to tap, instead of swipe, your card at all locations where you use your Action Card.
A new, unique number will also be added to your card that will help reduce fraud and enhance security for all users. This number can be found by logging in to myBama and looking under the student tab. Scroll to find the Campus Services box and select Action Card Number.
This 16-digit number will change any time you receive a new card. This also is the number you would use if placing an online order with Dining Dollars or Bama Cash. You will no longer use your CWID. This applies only to individuals who have received the new card.
All currently enrolled students are eligible to receive, free of charge, a new Action Card featuring the Quad, Denny Chimes and Big Al.
