UA System Committee Seeks Information from Faculty and Staff

Dr. Peter Hlebowitsh

University of Alabama System Chancellor C. Ray Hayes recently appointed a systemwide committee dedicated to the task of better understanding how the system’s three campuses address issues related to the livelihood of military veterans.

The expectation is that the committee will examine the resources and services available across the three campuses in the interest of identifying a better way to move forward in the future. To this end, the committee asks faculty and staff to submit information about things they do in their professional capacity that address veteran concerns. This could be related to a research agenda, an outreach or public service role, or any matter that gives obvious lift and support to veterans as a group.

This request comes with the support of the chancellor’s office and the endorsement of Dr. Charles R. Nash, vice chancellor for academic and student affairs.

Please email Dr. Peter Hlebowitsh, dean of the UA College of Education, at peter.hleb@ua.edu and describe any relevant initiatives by Wednesday, March 28.
