The University of Alabama will suspend normal operations from 6:30 p.m. until midnight due to the threat of severe weather. Classes and campus activities scheduled during this time are canceled.
Campus libraries will close at 6:30 p.m. and reopen tomorrow at 7:30 a.m., except for Rodgers Library for Science and Engineering which will reopen at midnight tonight.
UREC, Aquatic Center and Witt Center will close at 6:30 p.m. UREC building and Aquatic Center will reopen at 5:30 a.m. The Witt Center will reopen at 10 a.m.

Severe weather can develop quickly and without warning, so please identify the best available shelter area and be prepared to move to safety if severe weather occurs.
We are now under a tornado watch, so please be alert for rapidly changing conditions that may require you to move quickly to safety.
If a tornado warning is issued, you should avoid traveling and seek shelter immediately. If you are not able to make it to one of our tornado shelters, please go to the lowest level of the nearest building until you are notified the warning is over.
Because of the potential for severe weather, campus tornado shelters at North Campus Storm Shelter, East Campus Storm Shelter and the Magnolia Parking Deck are available to all students, faculty and staff. The Magnolia Parking Deck can accept pets with their owners.

- Fresh Food Company will close at 8:30 p.m.
- Burke Dining Hall will close at 9 p.m.
- Julia’s Market in Tutwiler will close at midnight.
- Starbucks on Bryant will close at 8:30 p.m.
- The food service in the Witt Center will close at 8 p.m.
- All other locations will close at 6:30 p.m.
