Black History Month 2018: UA Celebrates with a Variety of Events

The University of Alabama’s Crossroads invites the campus and community to participate in events throughout February during Black History Month.

The theme this year is “African Americans In Times Of War.”

Events include films and a lecture titled “The Refugee Camp: Quarantining and Disciplining Black Bodies and Black Freedom in the Civil War.”

Beyond the Surface An Art Exhibit: Thursday, Feb. 1–Monday, Feb. 26, Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center. Co-sponsors: College of Arts and Sciences, Paul R. Jones Lecture Series.
