Fall Break Fast Facts

Classes are dismissed on Thursday, Oct. 26, and Friday, Oct. 27, for UA fall break. UA offices will be open, but various areas on campus may have adjusted operating hours during the break. Several of these areas are listed below. Please check individual websites for the latest information.

Also check the UA Events Calendar for a list of activities occurring on campus during the break.

Bama Dining

For Bama Dining locations’ hours of operation, go to Bama Dining, select Hours, and click on “Today’s Hours.”

Center for Academic Success

Wednesday, Oct. 25, through Friday, Oct. 27, the Center for Academic Success will be open 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., but there will be no tutoring available those days.

Crimson Ride

Crimson Ride will provide regular service from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday but with reduced coverage. All  campus routes (Blue, Bronze, Crimson, Crimson Express, Gold 1, Gold 2, Green, Silver 1 and Silver 2) will run with a single bus; none of the rocket routes will run.

Apartment shuttles will have buses on standby; students should contact 348-7433 for a bus to get them and bring them to the Hub.

348-RIDE will provide regular service from 9 p.m.-7 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, and Friday, Oct. 27, and all day Saturday and Sunday. The Lofts shuttle will use a van. Express buses will not run. Call 348-7433 with questions.

Counseling Center

Hours and services at the UA Counseling Center will continue as normal during the break.

Ferguson Student Center 

Thursday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Oct. 27: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 28, 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 29, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
Regular schedule resumes Monday, Oct. 30.

Library Hours

Bruno, Gorgas, McLure and Rodgers libraries

Wednesday, Oct. 25, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Oct. 27, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Regular schedule resumes Sunday, Oct. 29.

Hoole Special Collections

Thursday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 27, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Regular schedule resumes Saturday, Oct. 28.

Sanford Media Center

Wednesday, Oct. 25, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 26, through Friday, Oct. 27, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Museums

The Alabama Museum of Natural History, Gorgas House Museum, and Moundville Archaeological Park will operate on their regular schedules during fall break.

Campus Parking

All safety rules and regulations apply as normal during fall break. Do not park in faculty/staff or reserve surface lots.

Commuter: park in any commuter zone, as well as Ferguson, Campus Drive, North ten Hoor, and Stadium Drive Parking Decks.

Residential:  park in any non-gated residential zone, as well as Ferguson, Campus Drive, North ten Hoor and Stadium Drive Parking Decks.

Student Health Center and Pharmacy

The Student Health Center and Pharmacy will close at 5 pm. Thursday, Oct. 26, and be on its regular schedule Friday, Oct. 27. It will be closed Saturday, Oct. 28, through Sunday, Oct. 29.

Supply Store

The Ferguson Center location of the Supply Store will be closed Saturday, Oct. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 29. Otherwise, all locations will maintain regular hours.

University Recreation

The Competitive Sports Office will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 25, through Sunday, Oct. 29. The Outdoor Recreation Rental Center and Bike Shop, and SRC Climbing Wall will be closed Thursday, Oct. 26, through Sunday, Oct. 29.
