The SGA Elections Board invites students in both the College of Education and the Graduate School to run for the open senate seats during the Fall 2017 election:
- three open Graduate School seats
- one open College of Education seat
Students who plan on running for open senate seats must observe the rules outlined in the Fall 2017 Elections Manual. Candidates should adhere to the following timeline in approaching their campaign activities:
- Oct. 2 – Mandatory fall election meeting, 6 p.m., 3103 Ferguson Student Center
- Oct. 3 – Campaigning begins for all candidates
- Oct. 6 – Deadline to submit SGA Senate Candidacy Form, 6 p.m.
- Oct. 10 – Deadline to submit Financial Disclosure Form, 5 p.m.
- Oct. 10 – Election day voting, 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Students may find additional information, resources and a timeline for fall elections at vote.ua.edu. Fall senate elections will be conducted in conjunction with Homecoming Queen elections on Oct. 10.
