UA doctoral student to receive national fellowship

University of Alabama student Cameryn Blackmore, who is on campus pursuing her PhD in political science, has been named the recipient of a national fellowship award from the American Political Science Association. Blackmore is one of 23 students nationwide who will be receiving the honor of membership in the APSA Minority Fellows Program.
Capstone Rural Health Center to give away backpacks

The Capstone Rural Health Center is teaming up with Alabama Power again for its annual back to school supply drive. This year the groups are giving away backpacks loaded up with school essentials. Amber Elswick with Capstone Rural Health Center says they are happy to be able to do this again, but folks had better get there early.
