Computer-Based Honors Research Project Call for Proposals

Computer-Based Honors Research Project Call for Proposals

The Computer-Based Honors Program is focused on partnering a select group of undergraduate students with faculty members to engage in academic research projects.

These self-motivated students are associated with a wide range of academic disciplines and colleges across campus and are committed to excellence in their academic endeavors. As freshmen, this highly recruited group of students completes an intensive series of courses on the use of computers, project management and research fundamentals.

The application of their technical, problem-solving, analytic and project management skills would be of considerable value to the research efforts of any faculty member whether he or she has computer expertise.

The deadline for submitting this semester’s proposed computer research project to the CBHP is Friday, Aug. 25. Examples of previous projects, project expectations, project proposal form and guidelines for proposal submission are located in the Project Sponsor Information section of the Honors College website.

For more information about CBHP or sponsoring a project, contact Shane Sharpe at ssharpe@ua.edu, 348-5506, or Jane Batson at jbatson@ua.edu, 348-5029.
