Housing Seeks Student Group Members to Volunteer for Move-In

Volunteers assist with Move-in 2016.

The University of Alabama’s Housing and Residental Communities staff members are seeking volunteers from campus student groups to help with Move-In 2017.

Staff members need help pushing preloaded carts from unloading zones to student rooms and back down. Some light lifting may be needed. The schedule for Move-In may be found here.

Student organizations registered with The Source that volunteer to help with Move-In may receive organization funding. Student volunteers may work only on behalf of one student organization for each four-hour shift. Each student organization registered with The Source receives $20 a student per four-hour shift.

For a registered student organization to receive funding credit, student volunteers must work the entire four-hour shift. Volunteers must sign in and out of all shifts.

Each student must sign up separately for a student organization. Go to the Move-In website for more information. To register, click on the “Move-In 2017: Volunteer Sign Up” link on the page.
