Popular On-campus Ordering App Now at UA

The University of Alabama has announced the launch of Tapingo, the leading mobile commerce application for college campus dining services, to make eating on campus easier and more convenient than ever before. Using this free app, users can browse menus, customize orders, pay, then have their items delivered or ready for pickup.

Once an order is ready, Tapingo sends a text notification to the user, who can pick it up and avoid waiting in line. Embodying the Tapingo lifestyle of “wait less, live more,” Tapingo’s technology is so advanced that the app remembers personalized choices (“Hold the mayo”) for one-tap reordering.

Beginning Monday, April 3, students will be able to “Tapingo” orders from from campus favorites such as Chick-fil-A, Starbucks and Panda Express. Other locations include Raising Cane’s, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Boar’s Head, Fuel, Mary B’s, Presidential Terrace and Wendy’s.

In addition to Tapingo’s advanced mobile ordering and pickup, students, faculty and staff can make purchases through the app using Bama Cash, Dining Dollars, VIP Meals and credit/debit cards.

As part of an ongoing commitment to innovation and service, Bama Dining sees a partnership with Tapingo as a perfect way to give choice and convenience to students, faculty and staff.

“Mobile ordering used to be a thing of the future, now it’s a part of our present,” said Bruce McVeagh, resident district manager. “Through Tapingo we hope to provide more access to our dining locations.”
