Workshops Scheduled to Help Define and Share UA Identity

The University of Alabama has collaborated with Dartlet, a communications company, since last summer on an important research project and is requesting the help of faculty, staff and students in collecting information. This project will culminate in a cohesive communications strategy for the University.

A series of 12 workshops will be conducted Jan. 23-26, and students and employees are encouraged to attend. Space is limited, so participants are asked to sign up. Each session will last no more than two hours, and participants are asked to remain the entire time.

The central question in each workshop will be, who is The University of Alabama?

There are two distinct and integrated sets of workshops: Personality and Messaging. The Personality workshops will help crystalize “who” The University of Alabama is, while the Messaging workshops will wrap these insights into storytelling maps. Participants do not have to participate in both workshops, but are welcome to do so.

The results of these workshops are expected to unify the communications strategy of the University.
