UA Offers Sorority Row Trick-or-Treat

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Alabama Panhellenic Association will host its annual Trick-or-Treat on Sorority Row for the Tuscaloosa community from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at UA sorority houses.

trickortreatbigThe event is for children 12 and younger. Children visit the lawns of sorority houses on Magnolia and Colonial drives for candy and other activities.

Costumes are encouraged. Masks, however, are not allowed for this family friendly event. Organizers are encouraging guests to select attire other than clown costumes this year.

UA sorority members from the Alabama Panhellenic Association, National Pan-Hellenic Council and the United Greek Council will provide candy to area children.

“I think my favorite part about trick or treat is just the fact that we have so many people who come out, so it gives us a huge opportunity to meet the families in our area and do something fun for them. It’s also fun to see everyone’s costumes,” said Pamela Sox, president of the Alabama Panhellenic Association.

Sorority Row will only be accessible on foot. No cars, bicycles, skateboards or hover boards are allowed. To ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience, no pets will be allowed.

In case of rain or other inclement weather, the event may be canceled, and, if so, it will not be rescheduled.
