UA Groups Offer Classroom Diversity and Inclusion Panel

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — In recognition of LGBTQ+ History Month, the Classroom Diversity and Inclusion Working Group and The University of Alabama Spectrum will co-host a student panel presentation for UA faculty and graduate teaching assistants.

The event will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the Ferguson Center Forum room 3700. Light refreshments will be served.

Students will discuss their perspective on how instructors can to make the classroom a more welcoming and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ students.

This one-hour event will allow the panel of students to discuss their classroom experiences and will conclude with a question and answer session. Anyone teaching a course at the University is welcome.
