The Rio Paralympic Games 2016 have officially been declared open. We had been here for one week before the Opening Ceremony to get settled in and get used to the Paralympic Village.

We heard about some trouble in the Village before we came here, but we soon learned that everything would be great here.

Being in Rio and seeing where I would spend the next few weeks was already awesome, but I couldn’t wait until the Games actually started, which they did yesterday.

Walking into Maracana was a great feeling. The Opening Ceremony was incredible and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Now we are ready for the games to begin! Let’s play some basketball!
