Department of Labor Changes Will Affect Some Employees

The U.S. Department of Labor has announced that updates to the federal regulations that govern overtime pay for employees will become effective on Dec. 1, 2016. Approximately 600 UA employees may be covered by the Department of Labor’s changes to regulations that govern which employees are protected by federal overtime laws.

Training sessions and additional information specific to UA’s implementation of the updated regulations will be provided to these employees and their supervisors beginning in September.
