Learn about University Libraries while enjoying free ice cream on the Quad in front of Gorgas Library on Aug. 18 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
First-year and transfer students can meet new people, learn more about UA and have fun during Week of Welcome. WOW begins Aug. 13 with a movie on the Quad and ends Aug. 25 with Get on Board Day, where students can discover how to get involved with campus organizations. More information: https://wow.sa.ua.edu.

The Office of Information Technology is automatically creating UA+Box accounts for students. As UA email aliases are added to the UA+Box accounts, users will receive email notifications. UA+Box, a cloud storage service provided for free with no storage limit, is available on desktop and mobile devices. It is encrypted both in transit and storage. You can receive free 3-D printing services from UA’s Office of Library Technology. Email your completed 3-D image (STL) files to 3dlib@ua.edu. Upon notification, you can pick up your completed job at the Circulation Desk located on the second floor of Gorgas Library. Questions: 3dlib@ua.edu.
University Libraries provides access to the RefWorks reference management tool at no cost to UA students. You can opt to transition to New RefWorks via a link on the Legacy RefWorks login page. You can maintain both Legacy and New RefWorks accounts in parallel, and Legacy RefWorks will be available through the end of 2017. ProQuest does not recommend migrating to the new RefWorks while currently on a deadline or working a project using Write-N-Cite. Papers started in Legacy RefWorks will not be compatible with New RefWorks. Users should maintain their references in their Legacy RefWorks accounts until they complete their work. Do not play the game while driving, riding a bicycle, crossing an intersection or engaging in any other activity that requires alertness and constant attention to your surroundings.
