University Of Alabama Set To Open Sport And Athletic Technology Research Center

The University of Alabama is set to establish a new sport and athletic technology research center. The university would open a new center aimed for sports and athletic technology, which would include Crimson Tide athletics, that aims to conduct studies to help improve training and performance of athletes worldwide, The University of Alabama News reported. The Board of Trustees at the university approved the proposal to establish the Integrative Center for Athletic and Sport Technology, or I-CAST, for short. The meeting was held on June 17 that resulted in the approval of the new research center.

As an adult, he was fired from a corrections job after talking about bringing a gun to a training session … Like these other mass shooters, Mateen’s history of antisocial behavior and offensive statements were risk factors that suggested “he would rather get negative attention than be ignored,” says Adam Lankford, a University of Alabama criminal justice professor who studies terrorism and mass shootings.
 
Changes come in Peaster administration

There will be some familiar faces in new positions for the 2016-17 school year in the Peaster school district. The retirement of high school principal Darla Henry has created opportunity for advancement for a couple of folks in the athletic department. Athletic director Chris Pennington will replace her, and baseball coach Lynn Grimes will take over as the new A.D … Also, wheelchair athlete Sarah Maynard signed a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Alabama, arguably the largest signing in school history.

Page Society members remain dissatisfied with the level of diversity and inclusion on their communication teams, few are being held accountable for developing and implementing strategies to improve, according to a recent study conducted by Syracuse University and funded and released by the PRSA Foundation and the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations at the University of Alabama.
