The University of Alabama has in place a policy regulating use of skateboards, in-line skates, roller skates and electronic personal assistance mobility devices (i.e., Segways) on University-owned and -maintained property. The policy applies to UA students, employees and visitors. The University encourages students to become familiar with the policy, which was established to provide a safe environment for all students, employees and visitors. Student Account Services reminds students that payment in full or participation in a payment plan is required before noon on May 10 for the summer term. Schedules for students who have not made payment arrangements by the deadline will be canceled.

If you have not already done so, log in via myBama and complete the following:

  • Set up your student profile, which includes the ability to add alternative email addresses and the ability to opt in for text messages.
  • Go to the eRefund tab and set up your direct deposit. Direct deposit is now required for any refunds. If you had direct deposit before, you will need to add it in the new system.
  • Set up authorized users that you want to grant access to your account, even if they existed in the old system.

Payment plans will now be available within the new billing system once the billing period opens for each semester. If you would like to participate, you must enroll each semester. You will also be able to store payment methods for your convenience.

APPLICATIONS

Registered student organizations on campus must file renewal applications annually during either the fall time period (March 15-Oct. 15) or the spring time period (Nov. 15-Feb. 15). All organizations that have not completed the renewal process by the priority deadline for their time periods will be removed from the online directory. The priority deadline for fall organizations is May 31. Organizations must also submit new Child Protection and Hazing Policy forms to the Office of Student Involvement at 3610 Ferguson Student Center before the renewal application can be reviewed. If you are unsure of your time period or would like to change it based on your new officer-selection period, contact the Office of Student Involvement at sileadership@sa.ua.edu.
