Young delegate want to be

At the age of seven Ross D’Entremont heard his grandmother yelling at the television concerning politics. It’s that passion that was contagious for Ross. He began to pay attention to politics and do all he could to understand it. He developed a voracious appetite for news about candidates, policies and generally everything that effects people of this country. So now that he is 19 – years old, he is plunging into the political process. He is running as a delegate to GOP candidate for Marco Rubio. If he wins he will get a vote at the Republican National Convention in Ohio in July. If Marco Rubio is not longer in the race, he will be able to cast his vote for a candidate still in the race … His passion and his platform is to get out the vote. He is talking to students , adults and anyone who will listen about getting registered to vote. As a student at the University of Alabama, he wants to help more people get registered to vote.

UA Library Enjoys Clemson Blue Cheese

The University of Alabama librarians benefitted from the Crimson Tide’s national championship. Clemson and Alabama’s libraries put a little wager on the game. Since Clemson lost, they sent some of their famous Blue Cheese and Blue Cheese Salad Dressing to Alabama.

UADM to hold off kickoff event

The University of Alabama Dance Marathon will hold its first ever kickoff event, a 12 hour event of non-stop dancing to help raise money for Children’s of Alabama, on Jan. 26. UADM is a year-round fundraising organization but the fifth annual dance marathon itself will held Feb. 27. The kickoff event will be Jan. 26 from 6:30-8:30 in the Ferguson Ballroom.

UGA president Morehead to chair SEC working group on compliance, enforcement, governance

The Southeastern Conference has appointed nine individuals from campuses across the SEC to form a working group to review and discuss issues concerning compliance with NCAA regulations and effective operation within the NCAA governance process, Commissioner Greg Sankey announced. University of Georgia President Jere W. Morehead will serve as chair of the group … Along with Morehead, the remaining members of the working group are Dr. R. Stuart Bell, president, University of Alabama; Mitch Barnhart, director of athletics, University of Kentucky; Ray Tanner, director of athletics, University of South Carolina;

University of Alabama student makes hilarious parody in response to Meghan Trainor song

A University of Alabama student is striking back against the stereotypes cast in Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” song if a funny way. She has written a parody song of her own called “Dear future Housecats.”
