ANNOUNCEMENTS

The University has launched a new website that focuses on delivering content of interest to undergraduate and prospective students. Undergraduate is a new content channel on the UA News suite of websites. Among the current content is a “Find Your Passion” story about Nathan Craft, “A Nice Guy Who Won’t Finish Last.”

Weather permitting, the University will test UA Alerts, the emergency public address system and digital signage at 11:55 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month. The test will last approximately 30 seconds and should not be disruptive. Immediately following at noon, the Tuscaloosa Emergency Management Agency will test the outdoor tornado sirens, weather permitting.

Check out the A-Book today. The A-Book highlights UA history and tradition, campus resources, student life and the spirit of Tuscaloosa. The 2015-16 A-Book is a digital format with interactive videos, captivating campus photos and resources to help you succeed in your first year at UA.

UA’s Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act report is available. By Oct. 15 of each year, each coeducational institution of higher education that participates in any federal student aid program and has an intercollegiate athletic program must prepare an Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) report and make it available upon request to students, potential students and the public. The University of Alabama Department of Athletics’ report for the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act is available upon request at the following locations: Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and Office of University Relations. The report can be accessed on the Internet at https://eada.ia.ua.edu. A paper copy of the report will be provided upon request by contacting the Office of University Relations.

GAME DAY

Game — The Crimson Tide’s next football game kicks off Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

TicketsMyTickets is the student-ticket system at UA. You can access student tickets through myBama or the UA Mobile app with your student login.

Parking — Vehicles must be moved from the following parking lots and roads by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6:

  • Triangle Lot — Orange Residential
  • Western half of the Tutwiler Lot — Orange Residential
  • Southern half of the Coleman Coliseum Lot — Southeast Commuter
  • Moody Lot — Southeast Commuter
  • NE Commuter Lot — Northeast Commuter

“ESPN GameDay” — “ESPN GameDay” will broadcast live on Saturday from the UA campus from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Al’s Pals is accepting applications for its one-on-one mentoring program serving youth in the Tuscaloosa community. Interviews will be held Nov. 3-20 in the Career Center at the Ferguson Student Center.

Volunteers and race participants are needed for the Hats Off for Hunger 5K, which is a Beat Auburn Beat Hunger event. The race will be held Nov. 8 at 1 p.m., starting at the lower University Recreation parking lot. More information: http://beatauburnbeathunger.ua.edu or babh@ua.edu.

WORK OPPORTUNITIES

Housing and Residential Communities will host nine mandatory meetings for students who are interested in applying for a freshman or resident advisor position for Fall Semester 2016. EVENTS

Housing and Residential Communities will host a housing fair Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the main floor of the Ferguson Student Center. Representatives from more than 25 off-campus properties will answer questions about their amenities, rates and upcoming deals.
