Until mid-January, the sidewalk on the south side of Bryant Drive, from Tutwiler Hall to Eighth Avenue, will be closed for underground
utility work on the west side of Tutwiler Hall in connection with the construction of a new retail center. Pedestrians should access the sidewalk on the opposite side of Bryant Drive by crossing at lighted intersections and legal crosswalks.

Student Opinions of Instruction course-evaluation surveys for Fall Semester 2015 run through Dec. 6. SOI allows students to confidentially rate their UA learning experiences and encourages feedback about their courses and instructors. Students can select either the standard or the mobile view of SOI. Confidential reports of survey results are provided to UA faculty and administrators after all grades are submitted. Student ratings are important in helping instructors improve their teaching and in helping the University evaluate courses and faculty. Visit the SOI website at http://oira.ua.edu/soi or send an email to soi@ua.edu for more information.

Students may have recently received a phishing email titled “Faculty Administrator Announcement” with a link that takes users to a page that looks like the myBama login page. This is not an official UA page, according to UA’s Office of Information Technology. The email is attempting to steal information. Students should not click the link and should immediately delete the email.

UA students who need access to University Libraries‘ electronic resources while traveling outside the United States should verify the status of access from within their country of destination prior to the trip, according to the Office of Library Technology. OLT can provide temporary access to areas currently without access. To verify access, send an email to ierm@ua.edu with your destinations and the dates of your stay. OLT will set your access in advance of your travel. Should you have a problem accessing resources at any time, submit the problem to http://www.lib.ua.edu/forms/login-problem-report-form.

The University of Alabama will host the Alabama state high school football championships at Bryant-Denny Stadium Dec. 2-4. The event will affect parking and traffic on campus. Certain parking lots near the stadium will close; other lots will have restricted access. Colonial Drive and Wallace Wade Avenue will be closed all three days. Crimson Ride routes will also be affected; riders should expect delays. Complete information is available on the UA Parking Services website. For questions or concerns, contact Ralph Clayton at rclayton@fa.ua.edu or 348-9828.
