HOMECOMING

The 2015 Student Government Association Homecoming Committee has been working to provide students, alumni and fans with a week’s worth of fun and exciting events. The week will begin with the 27th Annual Roll Tide Run and conclude with the crowning of the homecoming queen during halftime of the Alabama vs. Arkansas football game. The SGA invites you to join in on the festivities and use #UAHC15 to share your experiences.

The Homecoming Parade will start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10. The parade will begin at Greensboro Avenue and 12th Street, head north, turn east (right) on University Boulevard and continue on Hackberry Lane.

Need academic help? UA’s Center for Academic Success offers free walk-in tutoring in math, science, and business courses, as well as a variety of study-skills workshops. CAMPUS SAFETY

UA has created a “Should You Act: Intervention Training” link on the UAct website. The site contains three videos to help you decide whether you should take action in situations that may involve sexual assault.

VOLUNTEER/COMMUNITY SERVICE

Help UA’s Feeding Bama team spread social media awareness of hungry Americans by sharing your “spoon selfie,” and you just might win a water bottle. Stop by the Feeding Bama table in the Ferguson Student Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30. More information: jpmitchell2@crimson.ua.edu.
