Resources are available to help you stay safe. The University of Alabama is committed to providing a safe environment for our students, employees and campus visitors. Available resources include the Safer Living Guide, the University’s publication that outlines safety procedures and services; UAct, a list of reporting channels for discrimination, harassment, sexual assault or sexual violence; Rave Guardian, a service available through mybama.ua.edu or UA’s mobile app store that works through your cellphone to provide instant access to the police department, as well as allowing you to set up your own personal virtual escort service; the Women and Gender Resource Center; and UA’s 24-hour hazing and harassment hotline at 205-348-HALT (4258), which allows students, parents or others to report incidents of discrimination, harassment, hazing or any kind of unhealthy behavior.
The College of Community Health Sciences is leading a campuswide effort to vaccinate UA students and employees against the flu this year. Earn a chance to win a semester’s tuition scholarship and improve air quality at the same time. Starting Sept. 16, students can have their vehicle’s emission tested for free as part of the PACECAR program developed by the Student Government Association and the Partnership for Affordable Clean Energy. Tests will be offered Sept. 16, Oct. 6, Oct. 21 and Nov. 10, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the University garage at 1227 14th St. Students whose cars fail the test could be eligible for financial assistance to bring their vehicles into compliance. Students, faculty and staff have immediate access to EndNote and NVivo. Endnote, a citation and research-management tool, is available on Windows and Mac. NVivo is a tool designed for analyzing unstructured data using search, query and visualization tools. GAME-DAY ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Crimson Tide kicks off its second home football game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 8:15 p.m. in Bryant-Denny Stadium. “ESPN GameDay” has also announced that it will broadcast live on Saturday from the UA campus. People must move their vehicles from the following parking lots and roads by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18:
- Triangle Lot — Orange Residential
- Western half of the Tutwiler Lot — Orange Residential
- Southern half of the Coleman Coliseum Lot — Southeast Commuter
- Moody Lot — Southeast Commuter
- NE Commuter Lot — Northeast Commuter

MyTickets is the student-ticket system at UA. You can access student tickets through myBama or the UA Mobile app with your student login. Important information:
- MyTickets opens at 1 p.m. on the Sunday prior to a home football game and closes at the start of halftime.
- Tickets will have either “upper” or “lower” deck assignments. Students with upper-deck tickets should enter Gate 30; students with lower-deck tickets should enter Gate 31. You will be turned away if you attempt to enter the wrong gate.
- Access MyTickets prior to the day of the game to verify your deck location and gate entrance. Access available through myBama.ua.edu or UA’s Mobile app (student or Action Card icons).
- The penalty for not using a ticket is 2 points.
- Deadline for late ticket donation is now Wednesdays at 5 p.m.
- Ticket donations accepted until one hour before kickoff.
