ANNOUNCEMENTS

Weather permitting, the University will test UA Alerts, the emergency public address system and digital signage at 11:55 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month. The test will last approximately 30 seconds and should not be disruptive. Immediately following at noon, the Tuscaloosa Emergency Management Agency will test the outdoor tornado sirens, weather permitting.

Students should update their contact information on myBama to ensure they receive the UA Alerts messages. Students who currently receive the alerts but would prefer to be contacted differently will need to revise their contact information. To view and make changes to information online, students can visit UA Alerts Instructions for students.

MyTickets is the student-ticket system at UA. You can access student tickets through myBama or the UA Mobile app with your student login. Important information:

  • MyTickets opens at 1 p.m. on the Sunday prior to a home football game and closes at the start of halftime.
  • Tickets will have either “upper” or “lower” deck assignments. Students with upper-deck tickets should enter Gate 30; students with lower-deck tickets should enter Gate 31. You will be turned away if you attempt to enter the wrong gate.
  • The penalty for not using a ticket is now 2 points
  • Deadline for late ticket donation is now Wednesdays at 5 p.m.
  • Ticket donations accepted until one hour before kickoff.

University Libraries has launched a new website and created a video and blog post to provide information and help with transition to the new Web presence. Users can provide feedback through the Web Services Contact Form.

CAREER PREPARATION

VOLUNTEER/COMMUNITY SERVICE

Do you like to baby-sit? Do you want community service hours? Apply to be a volunteer baby sitter through Sitters for Service.
