TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama College of Engineering will host SITE this summer for students with an interest in science, mathematics and engineering.

The Student Introduction to Engineering, or SITE, program is designed specifically for rising juniors and seniors in high school. Two weeklong sessions will be offered in the summer.

The first session is scheduled for July 11-16, and the second will be July 18-23. Approximately 40 students will be selected to participate in each session.

SITE students live in residence halls and engage in teaming exercises. They attend mini-courses in mathematics, engineering, computer science and English, and they will build lightweight airplanes as a design project.
