UA Real Estate Center Director Earns CPM Designation

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Grayson Glaze, executive director of the Alabama Real Estate Center at The University of Alabama, has earned the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

The designation is awarded to real estate managers who have met the Institute’s requirements in the areas of professional education, examination and experience. Certified Property Management members must also abide by a code of professional ethics enforced by the Institute.

Before joining UA’s Alabama Center for Real Estate, Glaze was employed with Carter Real Estate as general manager of SouthBridge in Birmingham. His team was recognized as Carter’s corporate wide “Class A Office Building of the Year” for four consecutive years (2003-2006). Glaze was recognized in 2006 as a Lifetime Member – Birmingham Commercial Million Dollar Sales Club.

This year Glaze will serve as secretary of the Alabama chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management while also serving the organization nationally as the vice-chair of student and academic outreach advisory board

Glaze holds a bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in real estate from The University of Alabama and a law degree from the Birmingham School of Law.
