The Capstone Creed, developed in 2000 by the Student Leader’s Council, is a reflection of the core values that sustain the UA community. This year, the SLC is sponsoring the weeklong event for the Capstone Creed with each day focusing on a line in the Creed:

The UA Capstone Creed

As a member of The University of Alabama community, I will: (Monday)

Pursue knowledge; (Tuesday)

Act with fairness, honesty, and respect; (Wednesday)

Foster civic responsibility; and, (Thursday)

Strive for excellence. (Friday)

The University community is invited to participate. Students are encouraged to check the UA calendar for more events being held during the week by individual departments on campus. The Capstone Creed Week Committee — a group of students and faculty — worked to organize the event.
