Two UA Students Receive Prestigious Air Force Internships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Two students at The University of Alabama have been chosen to participate in the Air Force Officer Accession and Training Schools Summer Technical Recruiting Internship Program.

Franklin Ruffin II, a junior computer engineering major from Tuscaloosa, and Andrew Huddleston, a junior electrical engineering major from Oxford, were selected for the program.

Huddleston and Ruffin are two of only 32 interns selected nationwide for this prestigious program. Those selected are employed at Air Force laboratories during the summer. Upon completion of the program, many of the interns will be offered a $15,000 yearly scholarship to participate in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program.
