UA Students Ellis, Till Receive Isabella Hummel Graham Scholarships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Two University of Alabama sophomores, Crystal B. Ellis from Columbia, S.C.; and Meaghan E. Till from Greenville have been awarded Isabella Hummel Graham Scholarships by The University Women’s Club.

Both Ellis and Till are biology majors in the department of biological sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The $2,000 awards were presented to each at a recent luncheon in Tuscaloosa.

“The selection committee of the University Women’s Club sought the most qualified academic students as well as those with financial need. Crystal has been described as having an outstanding work ethic while Meaghan has been described as being one with an insatiable curiosity. Crystal and Meghan stood far above all other applicants,” said Pat Winters, chairman of the scholarship committee.

Ellis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Ellis, and Till is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Till.
